Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is a simple, effective method of self-care that people use to achieve a natural, tension-free posture and ease in movement. It helps relieve pain and stress, prevent injuries and accidents, and restore a sense of balance and serenity. You could compare learning the Alexander Technique to re-learning a language, the language of moving naturally and easily in the body you were born with. Its practice encourages us to use our energy more efficiently, and to respond constructively to the challenges of modern living. As the years pass, many of us needlessly limit our potential enjoyment of life by adopting restrictive movement patterns and habits of thought. These may lead to physical wear and tear, pain, fatigue, stress-related disorders and possibly illness. Mostly, we are too busy to notice these debilitating patterns until they generate problems of varying severity.
